What's with him?

I don’t read men well and sometimes can be a bit blind when things are staring me in the face. I’m 27, in college and studying economics. One of my teachers is a guy aged 35 who I’ve always got along well with. He’s funny, often cracks jokes and students enjoy his subject. A month ago I emailed him about a paper I’m writing. I finished the email with a funny remark. Usually with teachers I’m polite and fairly serious. He replied and added a humorous quip in response to mine. A week later I emailed him again asking if he had a book that I needed. He replied saying he did and ended the email with a joke. I wrote back thanking him and responded to his joke. He wrote back with another witty remark. I didn’t reply to that one. In class the next week, he laughed and joked with other students but avoided looking at me. There was absolutely nothing in the emails of a personal or sexual nature, which he might have thought had crossed the line or that he might be embarrassed about.

What's with him?
he probably thought you liked him and now feels either rejected or just plain stupid as you stopped the back and forwards banter

He became a bit nervous when you didn't respond, and decided to ignore you .....when i say nervous, i mean this guy seems to have a crush on you... for the simple fact of....3 different relpies with jokes attached, then ALL OF A SUDDEN ignores you wjen you dont respond to one????





It's sooo obvious that he has a crush on you, and he kind of put it out there and decided to test the waters with the "jokes"... now he is scared that you will probably say something to someone, or is a bit embarrassed that you didn't respond... so he is playing it safe....
Reply:it's alright, he's not actually ignoring you,but that's the way how he say (in a body language) that a student will always be a student, it means he's trying not to be so close to you, because at the emails you've mentioned, it might give him an impression that you really wanna be more close to him
