Do I act too old for my age? Or is normal?

I am 17...





I watch CNN Instead of MTV


I pick out clothes that are modest and not vulgar


I wash my own clothes instead of letting my mother wash mine


I shave my face beacuse I hate growing facial hair but I only have my moustache on.


I don't play PS2 or any other game console but I read a book, instead.


I watch the local news


I give younger people advices that are useful that I learned from older people


I make business calls for my mother


And I go to college (Is kind of like dual-enrollment, but different)

Do I act too old for my age? Or is normal?
You have an old soul. Chill! Enjoy things in life and take advantage of your age because you are only young once. You have the rest of your life to do grown up things which are stressful!

Reply:Well I don't think that you are acting to old for you age, as long as your happy with how you act that's fine. I mean you could sometimes play PS2 or every once in a while check out MTV but its good that you are different from some of the vulgar loner type kids. it is GREAT that you do you own laundry and help your mother out, being a kid sometimes wouldn't be bad, but you are fine just the way you are.

I feel the same way. Same age, appropriate clothes, proper grammer, 20/20 is awesome, hate the prank phone calls and stupid things my friends like to do, in love with (auto)biographies and historical novels.





Some people just mature faster than others. Good for you.
