I feel like burning my face!?

I study in a renowned institution... my parents - after lot of struggle put me up here. But i have become so lethargic that i've become an underperformer in college. My professors have such a bad image of me these days- i am so embarassed to even see them!I dont know why i'm not able to study! each time i touch the book - my thoughts go wandering off .. and my mobile phone is such a distraction. Can anyone give me a solution? I badly want to get back on track! I want to prove to my people I am worth what i have! I want to concentrate on studies without distraction! can i get the help of a pschiatrist?Pleas help me!

I feel like burning my face!?
Have you looked up ADD or ADHD? Have you read about the symptoms of it?

Do you think you could possibly have ADD?

If not, are you just bored with what you are studying? Maybe you need to rediscover yourself and see if you are where you are meant to be.
Reply:I'm not a psychiatrist, but I can help.

Try to not let the negative get to you now. Be calm! Don't think of what the professors think of you, because they are there to teach you! Not to make you look embarrassed, if that's the case there not worth teaching.

I suggest you need a inspiration, motivation and maybe an iPOD to keep you on track. Want a good life, right? Then focus and you'll be on track again! :) hope I helped
Reply:You are going to have to bit the bullet so to speak and hunker down and study....yahoo answers is a distraction, your phone is a distraction and a pschiatrist will be also...the pschiatrist will just be another thing to preoccupy you. Shut off your phone and computer, lock your door and study...If you are doing that poorly in school, any improvement will be noted by your professors. Good luck, and make it happen!
Reply:well you could start by getting rid of your phone... or at least the texting plan...
Reply:Role play with yourself. First, be a parent. Take away the cell phone. Since you know you will use it if it is around I recommend you throw it away. You are an adult in adjustment phase. That's all. Once you start to live by the rules of adulthood then you can have your grownup things (like cell phones). I wouldn't even loan you $20 right now because you doing things that are counterproductive to you. Get control of yourself, soldier. Make an excercise routine...even if it's light....and drill seargent yourself to do it everyday. You are your master most of the time.
Reply:You only have 1 problem, focusing. Easy to fix.

Developing one’s will power is directly related to one’s success in life.

No one can over estimate the power of your will to do.

It is the lack of determination and concentrated will power that most people fail.

Leaders learn focus from crossing 'freakout point'

The freakout point is that fear threshold you must push yourself past. CEOs say crossing it provides lessons useful in business and life. There's the significance of knowing that what frightens can be survived, as well as the importance of concentrating when concentration is all but impossible.

Reply:You seem like a smart kid... if I were you I'd lose the mobile phone. And remember - things will get worse before they get better! This could seem like the lowest of the low now but in a couple of months you will look back and laugh at how stressed out you had been. Trust me, been there done it.
