Not knowing about the Holocaust, WWII, and the death of some 70 MILLION people is unfathomable. And it has to do with being an American citizen because some 400,000 of those where american soldiers. I do not understand the idea of forgetting a WORLD trajedy such as this. some of you absolutly terrify me in your ignorance. You should be ashamed. Look into the faces of those innocent children who died horrible pointless deaths, and justify forgetting. Those whom forget the past are doomed to repeat it. And by the way, India's Independence Day (Hindi: स्वतंत्रता दिवस) is celebrated on August 15 to commemorate its independence from British rule and its birth as a sovereign nation on that day in 1947. As far as the Armanian Genocide, There have been many, most severe in 1915 i believe. As far as all of the other questions, I can't believe any of you attended American Schools. As a college graduate, I have taken 7 World histories, and my 13 year old sone has already had 2. Read a book.
Just for the record.?
It is not that ppl forget... it is that the typical, common American education is terrible. Our public schools do not focus on history at all.
Reply:Some of these questions are from children who have not finished school. (Many sound like they are from homework assignments.)
Some of these questions are from persons who attended school in other countries.
Not all are from adults who attended school here.
